A Disney-Do: The Tink

Welcome to the first installment of a new series I'll be doing for the next few weeks: A Disney-Do! Where yours truly takes a classic Disney hairstyle and re-vamps it with a modern twist. Exhibit A is The Tink. This pint-size spit fire of a Disney 'princess' was always one of my favorites, due in part to her perfect bun. Not to mention she's got more sass than Beyonce.
To give Tinkerbell's classic bun a chic edge, I added an upside-down french braid! It's both easy and interesting.
Here's how to achieve The Tink:

    • Flip your hair over and start a braid at the base of your scalp. Begin french-braiding upwards, toward your forehead.
    • Once you reach the crown of your head, tie off the end of the braid with a clear elastic.
    • Staying upside-down, gather all of your hair into a ponytail and secure with a hair-band.
    • Twist into a bun! I use the sock-method to get a perfect looking top not, but you can do whatever is easiest for your hair type.
    • Bobby-pin the fly-aways.
    • Work the up-do!
The outfit that I rocked this look with will be posted tomorrow. Meanwhile, try this Disney-Do on yourself!
